Project Manager for Experiential LearningSchool Of Business - Office Of The DeanLocation: New Orleans, LASummary The Project Manager for Experiential Learning will serve a pivotal role in the success of the A.B. Freeman School of Business’ experiential learning efforts. The project manager serves as the central point of contact for students, faculty, and partner companies to ensure smooth operations of projects, timely delivery of deliverables, and effective communication throughout the program.As a member of the Experiential Learning team, the Project Manager will plan, track, and report on the progress of experiential learning projects of all sizes for the AB Freeman School of Business. The Project Manager is reliable, capable of collaborating with and organizing multiple teams, completes tasks on time, and shows a desire to learn. The Project Manager guides the student and faculty project team(s) throughout the entire project lifecycle to ensure success as defined by project scope, deliverables, and timeline. The Project Manager communicates proactively with all involved stakeholders, identifies problems, and creates solutions. The Project Manager facilitates discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution, and provides support to the team by assisting with internal and external communication. The Project Manager anticipates future project needs and stays informed of relevant trends and industry news. The Project Manager leans on experience and skill to mentor others in project management. They provide expertise as needed to support team efficiency and success. This position reports to the faculty Director of Experiential Learning and collaborates closely with the Assistant Dean for Corporate Relations in the development of the Schwartz Family Center for Experiential Business Learning. This center is a cutting-edge space within the Freeman School that hosts classes and interactive events and will feature the latest technology to enable undergraduate and graduate students to work collaboratively with industry.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, STEM Field, Information Systems, Education, or similar field.• Minimum 3 years of experience in project management REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES TYPICALLY NEEDED TO PERFORM THIS JOB SUCCESSFULLY: • Proven project management experience with an emphasis on complicated, multi-stakeholder projects in an academic, business, or government setting• Ability to manage multiple projects at one time and to manage time effectively to ensure all assigned projects are on schedule and on track for completion. • Leadership and supervision skills and the ability to develop different strategies for projects based on the knowledge level of project participants and the needs of external stakeholders.• Ability to be a strong collaborator who can develop projects along with members of the Freeman faculty and Director of Experiential Learning• Ability to interface with executives and stakeholders regarding issues of project scope and status• Ability to function with a high degree of independence and to act flexibly in the face of unexpected challenges or issues that may arise during project execution. • Demonstrated ability to solve problems, make decisions, and lead projects with minimal direction.• Demonstrated exceptional analytical skills and problem decomposition• Strong organizational and time management skills.• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.• Proficient in MS Office Suite and project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello).• Passion for education and innovative learning models.• Understanding of current business trends and practices.• PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Masters degree in business, project management, education, or administration• PMP or other project management certification • Experience with curriculum and course development at the college level. • Experience working in an academic setting or within a collaborative learning environment.• Knowledge of Agile and Scrum development principles

Compensation Information
This position is classified as "exempt, salaried" and is assigned to pay grade 26.
